Usually that’s the case. Most audio companies design woofers to be modular between their different VC’s for the same woofer. People will even use different soft parts on a motor they didn’t come with and it can work, if the specifications fit properly. The only way the different resistance VC doesn’t work is if there’s an actual physical issue where the coil won’t work in that motor, and I’m not sure if I know of any woofers like that, at least not now. Typically you can drop any ohm recone into any woofer that is a factory recone.
