Here is an idea... tell me if it is a rational one. Who or what "group" of people commit the most crimes with a gun? Why don't we just not sell guns to "those" people?

We have FBI statistical numbers of which people commit these crimes the most right?

Hmmm which person in this picture is statistically most likely to commit a gun crime...

See, when you have to slow down and think about it you can see how stupid it is to jump to irrational comments and suggestions.

Do you mean sales TO a private party from a dealer? I can buy a gun from my neighbor or friend or a family member with no background check.
It's the same in 26 states (which means it is not a Federal law to have background check).
Any interstate transfer requires a FFL regardless and IIRC there's a provision for within state in federal law that say its "ok" but there's form 3312 you should fill out and have available if requested.
I'll have to ask a retired colleague on the nuances but to avoid being made an example, there's either law or regs that want you to have it registered and the sale performed by an FFL.

Comparatively, Weed is "legal" in some states but that doesn't prevent any federal agency from charging someone federally.

Gun offenses are the 1st offense the AUSA pleads out. Illegals in possession are regularly declined or dropped and on average 4500 federal gun charges are dropped or declined. Bans won't do anything as long as the feds keep dropping and declining charges.
A kid out here got caught raping his 8 year old sister and he got 90 days jail/3rd degree assault.

Laws don't mean d'ck if prosecuters and judges drop charges or plead to misdemeanor offenses.

OK. INTERSTATE transfer. But in 26 states, anyone with a gun can sell it to anyone else (obv not minors). No FFL needed. No background check. No paperwork.

As for weed: bad analogy. States go after people that break statute. The feds don't go after people for breaking a fed reg that statute allows them to break. If they did, every dispensary in the US would be closed in the blink of an eye.

EXCLUSIVE: Family of Bill Clinton advisor who admitted Jeffrey Epstein into White House seven times has blocked release of files detailing the death scene after he was found hanging from a tree with a shotgun blast at a ranch 30 miles from his home
  • Top Clinton advisor Mark Middleton died by ******* at the age of 59 on May 7, the Perry County Sheriff's Office in Arkansas confirmed
  • Middleton was President Bill Clinton's special advisor who admitted Jeffrey Epstein to the White House seven of the at least 17 times the ********* visited
  • The married father-of-two, who lived in Little Rock, Arkansas, shot himself at the Heifer Ranch in Perryville, 30 miles away from his home
  • DailyMail.com can now reveal Middleton's father Larry and his widow Rhea are fighting to keep photos and 'other illustrative content' of his death sealed
  • The two filed for an injunction arguing that blocking the release of the footage would halt a proliferation of 'unsubstantiated conspiracy theories'
  • The lawsuit claims the family 'has been harassed by outlandish, hurtful, unsupported and offensive online articles' regarding Middleton and his death
  • Perry County Sheriff Scott Montgomery said Middleton was discovered hanging from a tree with a shotgun blast to his chest
  • After the petition was filed, Montgomery denied DailyMail.com's FOIA request for any of his paperwork on the case

Legislation S.9458/A.10503 Bars Purchase of Semiautomatic Rifles by Anyone Under Age 21 by Requiring a License

Legislation S.9407-B/A.10497 Prohibits Purchase of Body Armor with Exception of Those in Specified Professions

Legislation S.9113-A./A.10502 Expands List of People Who Can File Extreme Risk Protection Orders and Requires Law Enforcement to File ERPOs Under Specified Set of Circumstances

Package Also Strengthens Crime Reporting; Closes "Other Gun" Loophole; Requires Microstamping of New Semiautomatic Pistols; Eliminates Grandfathering of High-Capacity Feeding Devices; Requires Social Media Companies to Improve Response to and Reporting of Hateful Content
That should stop criminals from breaking the law. That will show them!

Yeah your right Rob...you know her situation better then I do...it can't possibly be true...you know more about my home state then I do...
Your home state has nothing to do with Federal Regulation of SNAP benefits. The numbers are mandated at a federal level by USDA, FNS, and FDA. it's codified under 7 CFR § 271.

if it's just her and a kid, the max SNAP is $430 a month. If she's getting cash benefits (which she must be if unemployed and paying bills), then there is a time limit on how long she can get it. And it's not decades.
If she is getting Child Support, it reduces her SNAP and cash benefits, possibly to zero. And Child Support is reported directly to the agency handling her SNAP benefits. Do you pay child support for your kid that she has? Then it reduces her benefits.

Would you like me to tell you more things that you don;t know, even though you think you do?

Border czar Kamala to announce $1.9 BILLION for Central America to address the 'root causes' of migration as potentially biggest ever caravan heads for US
  • Vice President Kamala Harris will tout new $1.9 billion private sector investments in Central America at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles on Tuesday
  • Announcement of billions more investment in jobs and the economy comes as thousands of migrants set off from southern Mexico toward the U.S. border
  • Visa has pledged $270 million in an effort to bring 6.5 million people into the formal banking system
  • Gap pledged an additional $150 million to increase the materials sourced from the region for the products they produce and sell
  • Comes as Harris continues to face criticism for her role as 'border czar' to address the 'root causes' of migration from the Northern Triangle
  • All Northern Triangle and Mexico have snubbed the Summit of the Americas

Hold on there... He is directly connected to the POTUS. He and his business dealings have been directly connected to the POTUS. This persons character is prudent to the security of these United States.
Oh really? Then our entire government is an impossibility. There are no families without skeletons. Live OR dead.

so what? this is just a private sale and its the bullshit "gun show loophole" that the left is always crying about

90% of firearms used in crime are obtained illegally. More than half (56%) are either stolen (6%), or found at the scene of the crime.

7% are obtained off the street or from the underground market

most of he remaining 25% are obtained from a family member or friend or as a gift

so you really think restriction's on private sales are going to put a dent in these shootings huh?

Like I said apparently you know more about somebody you don't know then I do...I'm super amazed with your ability to know all...I feel enlighten and much better about the lack of fraud in safety net programs...
