November.

Then 2024.
Hmmm, welfare participation and payouts surged dramatically under the last Republican administration. They surged dramatically under the last Republican administration before that one. And the last Republican Administration before THAT one.

Yet you think voting Republican in the next election will reduce welfare?
I'm genuinely interested in hearing the logic behind that idea.

You think I was speaking on the Welfare? Do you think that was what his comment was about?

Or does it make more sense to just outright say it is bullshit that people are using WIC to buy overpriced food basically for free from the government while everyone is dealing with inflation?

I am saying that hopefully getting Democrats out will get us back to some sort of normalcy and get us out of this inflation.

You responded to a post about the ridiculously fallacious idea of people buying Filet Mignon with their WIC (just as stupid a premise as welfare recipients "waving their checks at passersby who are going to work") by saying voting out Democrats will fix it.
If both posts are not not "speaking on welfare", i'm really not sure what IS.

If you are interested in knowing why both his and your WIC premise are as ridiculous as the "waving their checks" premise, I can tell you.

Please tell me how my eyes didn’t see a baby mama buy steaks and other meats and then use her WIC card. She even pulled it out and said it and brought her total way way down.

Go learn what WIC is, and then we can discuss it.
And then we'll talk about whether people should be buying healthy food like meat and vegetables, or instead get chips and soda, cookies and candy.

I have been in line buying my own groceries with my own money and watched WIC having people buying snacks, soda's, steaks, shrimp, clams.

I should say they had SNAP as well. You know, that money we like to just throw at people who act like they can't work.

Go learn what WIC is, then come back and we;ll talk further.
We can also discuss what food welfare recipients should be allowed to buy with the money.
We can then talk about what public servants like police and firefighters, and military people should be able to spend their money on.
WE pay their payroll. Maybe we could spend less taxpayer money if we could tell them what they are allowed to buy?

Re-read the edit partner.

I already know what WIC is but I’d also rather cut off my toes one by one than have a “discussion”
If you knew what it was, you wouldn't be making wholly incorrect claims about it.
There is no "discussion". You're just wrong. Period.

"WIC foods include infant cereal, iron-fortified adult cereal, vitamin C-rich fruit or vegetable juice, eggs, milk, cheese, peanut butter, dried and canned beans/peas, and canned fish. Soy-based beverages, tofu, fruits and vegetables, baby foods, whole-wheat bread, and other whole-grain options were recently added to better meet the nutritional needs of WIC participants.
WIC recognizes and promotes breastfeeding as the optimal source of nutrition for infants. For women who do not fully breastfeed, WIC provides iron-fortified infant formula. Special infant formulas and medical foods may be provided when prescribed by a physician for a specified medical condition."
