How do u design a box to 1/1,000 of a cubic foot without physical testing of the individual woofer’s Thiele Small parameters?

Haha you worked harder for that one. The cubic footage is the size of the box, not the t/s parameters of a woofer. There’s no such thing as a perfect box for a woofer, because it all depends on what the listener is trying to do with the sub. There’s things I know about motors and suspensions and coils and electromagnetism that you don’t. T/s parameters are usually there for a reason, and they describe the nature of the woofer. There’s combos of things I put together to understand woofers, including listening to a shit ton of my 2 18’s on 2400 rated watts (12.6v) doing a 147 from like 28-29 iirc to about 65-70 hz. Peak 149.3 @ 35 hz. I’m the type of dude that might be able to hit 180 db with enough money and time. I’ve done designs for 30,000 watt walls. I’ve literally made up designs out of my rear end, because I understand sound, and idk what they’re even called. I really want to get like exponentially horny with my boxes, if you know what I mean. Horns are savage, ask your mom.

Box cubic footage doesn’t need t/s to be accurate. I design based on customer needs, and if I don’t know something, then I look on the internet or call the manufacturer. Modeling with t/s is sort of doo, imo. It’s good for comparing woofers and understanding woofers, but you just have to know sound. Any designer could benefit from a large 3d physics simulator, like somebody like PWK did for himself, but I just do it in my head. Even peaks in vehicles don’t matter quite as much as people want them to. If you want to play certain notes, you have to tune a certain way, regardless of what anything else is. My philosophy comes from shaping the air more than anything, and applying math that most people might not see into my boxes.

Designing boxes is an art form; the absolutely biggest mistakes I see, on the design side, are improper volume calculations and a lack of understanding of port area, and the resistance (truly impedance) that applies to every facet of the box. You can blow subs if you have like 1.21 ninja watts, if some of them are too close to a wall. It puts too much pressure on the cone, and you better believe that changes the state of your alternator and charging system.

While our Gas prices keep climbing, we are exporting like crazy to South America. Oil company officials have stated that the WH has been lying about oil production here and these officials have stated exactly what Biden has shut down which has crippled our own production. Much of which has to do with trying to get away from fossil fuels which Biden promised he was going to do. Biden IS causing these gas prices.

So, you can design the perfect box without knowing the exact T/S parameters of the woofer that will go in that box? Interesting.
If box cubic footage is irrelevant, why did you bring it up when you were bragging about your design skills?
How does listening a shit-ton to your own woofers tell you how to design a box for one, two, or ten woofers that you've never heard and that you don't have the actual T/S parameters to?

Woodworking is an art; box design is science. Art can be part of it if you are making something to sound good and tuning it by ear. You cannot tune by ear if you have never seen the subs, nor the box they go in. And it's certainly hard to apply the science side of it if you don't even know the actual T/S parameters of the woofer that will be used.

if you are just looking to play certain notes loud, then you are not really designing a sub box per se. You are making a noisemaker. You could just put in a train horn or chime that hits 150dB and be done with it. Use an air cannon to blow out the windshield.
