On a scale of 1 to stupid, how stupid is this?

This on paper (often times on paper is quite different than reality) would fit in a Subaru Legacy trunk:

(4) AB HD 15s
~8.7ft3 net
11 inch aeroport
36hz

Port velocity looks under control though it is undersized by about 3ft3.

Trying to decide what my future setup will be. Kinda want a no wall 4 15s setup in a Suburban with 2 rows of seating. Not sure I can give up the trunk life though.

If it fits through the doors it could slide in. Starting to think a silly project like this might be better suited for an Impala or something.

@Buck Would definitely like your opinion on this as I have never seen a trunk build executed like this. Bracing this without taking up too much volume may be a challenge. I know Impalas have a lot more height but I can't find exact dimensions.

I have not seen an "externally braced" enclosure... could be doable.

All thread rod is good bracing and takes up little space. you Can measure them out and put a beauty panel or a trim piece to hide the fender washers and nuts on the outside. On the bottom you could put little rubber feet to keep them from scraping your carpet to death.

parts express has a few rubber feet. I like these. Keeps the box .75 inches off the floor.

If you did 4 12’s it would work, IMO, just numbers wise, if you’re correct on those.
