What annoys the ***** outta you/pisses you off...

His attorneys found some bittch *** loophole about barrel length. The statute will soon be changed. Nobody knew about the loophole or the DA wouldn't even have charged him with the gun to begin with. The judge didn't even know about this loophole that was in a completely different area in the gun statutes.
Lulz not illegal for a minor to own a rifle. You'll figure it out one day bro

So Rob... you're mad because the law worked in favor of the accused? You say "no one knew this error" someone did, because it was made THE LAW. So it is safe to say that the laws and well, life in general is ok as long as it goes your way or aligns with your way of thinking. Cool, you do you lil buddy.
I'm not mad that the law is the law. A law that contains an error is a bit of a problem, though. It causes confusion, especially in situations like this. It's kind of like saying it is illegal to drive over 55 on the highway, but then having another statute that says it is illegal to drive under 56 on the highway. You get a ticket for the 55, then you fight it because the OTHER law says it is legal to drive 55.
In this case, one statute says it is illegal for a 17 yo to open carry a rifle EXCEPT in certain circumstances (NONE of which were met). Then another statute statute says it IS legal unless it is a sawed-off or short-barrel. Contradicting laws help no one. And contradicting laws are a mistake, NOT a planned occurrence.

It's OK that you don't understand how the law works. A lot of people don't. But for a good fast lesson, go to Jersey and walk around with a pistol on your hip. Tell the cops "The Second Amendment says it's OK". Let us know how that works for you.

1. He didn't own it. This was about openly carrying it, not ownership. 2. He is not a resident, so laws may or may not apply to him. As a non-resident of WI, what weapons I can or cannot carry differs from my own state.
We can argue, but lets argue the actual facts. Fair?

Considering you don't have the slightest clue what the facts are you can count me out.

I actually stated the facts. He did not own the gun. He got it through a strawman deal.
Correct?

Here is a weapons statute. This statute makes it illegal for him to carry a gun in WI at 17 as it says he cannot carry a weapon, after defining what a weapon is.
As I said earlier, if there is another statute that contradicts this one, then there is an error in the law that will likely get fixed by the legislature.

948.60  Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.
(1)  In this section, “dangerous weapon" means any firearm, loaded or unloaded; any electric weapon, as defined in s. 941.295 (1c) (a); metallic knuckles or knuckles of any substance which could be put to the same use with the same or similar effect as metallic knuckles; a nunchaku or any similar weapon consisting of 2 sticks of wood, plastic or metal connected at one end by a length of rope, chain, wire or leather; a cestus or similar material weighted with metal or other substance and worn on the hand; a shuriken or any similar pointed star-like object intended to injure a person when thrown; or a manrikigusari or similar length of chain having weighted ends.
(2)
(a) Any person under 18 years of age who possesses or goes armed with a dangerous weapon is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.

He was under 18 and possessed a "dangerous weapon" which is defined in the statute as a firearm. Were there no other conflicting statutes, his possession of the gun in Wisconsin would be illegal. Maybe the other statute says that a long gun is not a firearm unless the barrel has been shortened?

He will just call you names and try to bully you. He's not capable of having an adult conversation for some reason.

You gonna cry ? LoL. I thought you were the "Trigger Man".....fuggin hypocrite, typical democrat

You never see me calling people names. At least first anyways. I might respond to the name calling but I won't start it. Nice try though. Not a Democrat, but nice try again. Yes, I trigger people to get mad but not with name calling, bullying, or belittling them. I appreciate your effort but you didn't quite get there with this post.
