Crutchfield is about as reputable as it gets. I don't know how you don't know that if you've been into car audio since 2006. You'll have to share more details about your purchase if you're concerned about price.

lookin at a dual 12” sub box and was going to put a kicker sub box in the back seat. 96 cavalier btw

For $6200 you had better be filling trunk with DD equipment
Since they don't sell it there then you might be over paying
My point is you can get better equipment for cheaper from equally reputable sources
Hard to tell without knowing what your buying

This has to be some bizarre troll. I remember buying Hifonics VII amp out of their mail order catalog when I was in high school, and while their prices are on the high side for online retailers they're generally fair (in fact last time I ordered for an install they were as cheap as Darvex and Knu for all the cables and connectors I wanted) and IMO the customer service and no-hassle return/warranty service + extra included accessories is almost always worth the small premium.

You're probably not going to take home a lot of SPL trophies for 6 grand out of Crutchfield but you could buy an extremely nice (and loud) system for that money off their website.

I think we should separate out crutchfield being a legit retailer and if it’s fuggin stupid to spend money on car audio especially $5k+.
