Repair amp or buy another amp? Rockville??

In my car I have this setup:

Speakers: CDT ES 62i
https://www.cdtaudio.com/main_series/es/es62i.php

Sub: Hertz ES250.1
https://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/car-audio-subwoofers-energy-es250_5/

My amazing old Kicker KX 650.4 amp, has been having issues. Overheating & shutting off (can't change location, it's a 2 seater). I was wondering if I should send my amp to kicker for repair or buy a newer (possibly smaller) model. Possibly with better cooling?

If I were to buy a new amp, that compares to this one, how much would I have to spend?
Can I get away with some of those Rockville amps??

This one?
Rockville RXA-F2 @ 130$ USD

I've had a couple of those Rockville amps that I picked up just to try and they were actually decent for the $89 but I wouldn't run them on a nice set of CDT components like that. They also got pretty hot for me. I personally would either fix the Kicker or go another route like the NVX JAD800.4. Its super small and makes great power.

That NVX looks amazing but it's discontinued. It seems liek the the Polk PA D4000.4 is the same amp but it's double the price.

Anybody have suggestions for amps in the NVX or Rockville price range?

The pioneer line used to be good for the price but again, price went up pretty high. I would look at some used options. Theamplab.net has a ct sounds 125.4 and ampere audio 150.4 available. It’s hard for me to not buy that ampere

In the olden days if you sent an amp back to Kicker they would just re-board it or send you another one, then eventually when they didn't have boards or replacements anymore they send you the modern equivalent of whichever broken one you sent in. That's been a long time for me, but I was pretty disappointed when I lost my old ZR1000.

Anyway, I'd trust Kicker far more than any of those flea market brands, but be aware if you ship direct to them for repair you may not get the same exact amp back.

Oem cables are readily available for most vehicles. Check rockauto. Anything less will be a future headache.

I was tempted to send an offer, but felt the 100 was fair for it since it was like new still. You still did good on it though.
