I built everything in the Bug. But, yes my installer has about 25 years of building boxes under his belt. I could've built this one, but he wanted my other 8's and DD amp for his Audi A7, so he took that equipment in trade for building the box. The port actually braces the other side of the box.

The newer XFL 12 DVC2 I have in 2.0@ 32 HTZ on that PPI PHantom 1000.1 d @ 1 ohm Look Just like the 8s you have here. Ive been banging on it for a couple weeks and still fairly stiff and hasnt loosened up yet. Id expect your 8s will take a couple to 3 weeks to loosen up as well.

Yes, it get's down. I'm very happy with it. It definitely has the truck flexing and it's windy. It really pushes some air.
