Also since I'm in this thread early and some of you kids still thinks any of this bullshit is anything more than Kabuki theater to keep the cattle distracted, what do those of you celebrating a "win" here expect to be improved for you over the next 4 years?

I can see points from both sides.
I personally don't like Sleepy Joe. I think if he was gonna do anything for the US, he would have done something during his career. He has done nothing. And you can't say during the Obama administration. Cause that was Obama, not Sleepy Joe.

Now, I voted for Trump. I think he has done some good. We needed a President that wasn't afraid. However, giving him social media was a mistake. And he doesn't know when to shut the hell up. He's done more harm to himself thru social media than good.

I hope Biden can do what he wants. We need unity in this country. If he can make that happen, I'm all for it. But with Pelosi in the House, good luck. That old bat doesn't want unity. She wants a divided nation.

No. Taxes pay for many, many things. I don't want all of it back. However, when we are locked down, or lose our jobs, or make less wages because the people who would normally spend money at our jobs have less money because they are out of work or locked down then we make less money. My rent has gone up, my bills haven't gone away but the wages I normally make have taken a hit. Though I am still getting by I am sacrificing some things during this pandemic. Like food. I am getting enough to get by.

I am in the mindset that this will all pass in time so it's not a big deal at this time. I am aware of a few things though now that a new group of people will be in power. Like the fact that gas prices WILL climb. Taxes WILL be higher. These things will happen before businesses reopen or people find their ways back to employment. This means me just getting by will turn into struggling to get by to giving up more luxuries I work for. I don't know about you but my soul reason for working isn't so I can pay bills and rent. It is for the extras in life that make living comfortable and or fun and enjoyable. If I am unable to do that, if we aren't able to do that, what is the point. So yes, I will cheer for that "10 cents on the dollar".

I will take that $2,000 check, I will take my income tax returns as well. Ultimately I don't care what these idiots do in office unless it affects my life in a negative way. They have done that so it is their job to make it right again.

McConnell is just as guilty as Pelosi in all of that. Even when there was bi-partisan support for bills he would refuse to bring them up in the Senate. Because he said he would not give the Democrats a win for anything.

Many of these people on both sides are guilty of causing a lot of damage. People like to only blame the Democrats or the Republicans when it is both sides doing it.

We need term limits badly. A total of 12 years in the Senate or House. That means if you served for 8 years as a House Representative then you get 4 years to serve in the Senate. No more of this Lifetime Benefits Bullsh*t either. Enough of that garbage as they get medical coverage we could only dream of.

Just like I have heard some say our medical is the best in the world...No no it is not. It is a for profit system that rakes over the little guy badly. Even if it is a Government run Healthcare system in every place you can still buy private insurance and it is cheap. Have friends in England and Canada that have done this and they pay next to nothing compared to what people here pay monthly. Including one of them who is worse off medically then I am and that is saying something.

I also think certain people need to retire and move on as well. I can make a whole list of people on both sides that should go. Starting with McConnell and Pelosi and going from there. McConnell cracks me up saying everyone on the Democrats is for China when his wife is the Daughter of a Chinese Shipping Magnate worth a few billion,lol.

Straight out of his old corrupt mouth, "$600 was already appropriated and sent out". That leaves $1400 for checks. Dems said over and over if they voted the Dems in office in the GA runoffs that they would give us $2000 checks. Lies and misdirection. See how they work?

Also that guy has no chance at a Pardon. Trump is still throwing a fit over the fact he can't Pardon himself. So he has made it known if he can't Pardon himself and his family then no more Pardons or Commuting of Sentences.

Majority of them said it would be 2000 total meaning an additional 1,400 to the checks if you have already received yours. Republicans that wanted that as well said the same things.
