Classic Camaro or Z/28 Owners ...

I miss my 1992 RS 25th Anniversary Heritage Edition. It was a 5-speed. It was the Camaro that I learned that you CAN flush mount a head unit in with the Metra Kit that slides and a hidden mod.

I had a '96 Z28 that was Red with T-Tops and the LT1 was modified to say the least. Stock HP was around 300 and I was hitting over 500HP at the rear wheels when I was done and it was my daily driver an hour south of Chicago, lol. People think those LT1's are not capable of any HP and it isn't true. Done right they can be powerful but you need to make sure you do it right. Of course people like the LS better but I never had an issue with my LT1 and the modifications done to it. I wish I could find pictures of it but who knows where they are right now. Damn near bought a iirc it was either a '99 or '00 Firebird T/A with a 6-Speed and I wish I had done so as that thing was awesome.

Id like to see pics of that install if you have any ..
This is the best I can do. A still from a crappy video I took after I installed an Alpine in the Camaro. Behind the factory radio and on each side of the transmission hump are vents. Remove the vents but leave the vent grills on either side of the console. See the vertical vent under the radio? Remove all the ducting for those behind the radio and you can flush mount a full length single DIN radio in there with the Metra kit that has the sliding mount.

Hell yes! Here's my little brother, Justin, with the 68 that used to belong to our dad. He's since improved to a best ET of 7.86. I have a 73 that I've owned since I was 17 (I'm 45 now) and am working on an LS swap this spring.

I built a pretty 450hp 388 c.i stroker, but forgot a rev limiter and spun some bearings after a 2-block burnout.

Well, generally speaking, I would agree. But that is like saying that PRV, Stetsom and Taramps are all the same. Similar maybe, but not the same...

It is an L port. You might as well add three 45's. Add one by the leg of the L and the two that I showed you in my other post.

Thank you both :) I'll probably wait it out for the SA-12 v.2s in that case. Always learning on this forum and I appreciate it so much as always!
