My coolant recovery tank, my new tank is leaking. Yesterday I told one of my bosses, because pizza places need 6 of them, that I was taking today off to repair my leaking tank and that the car would be down for 24 hours. (Epoxy curing time). He said cool. Today I sent a message through the app they require us to have to all employees that I was still working on my car and that I for sure was not coming in. Mind you, common sense says there is an uncovered and available shift, and one of my bosses ask if I got anyone to cover my shift. I said I can't make anyone volunteer but at this point there is nothing I can do. Half hour later another boss text and says "Well, you could at least ask someone". My response:
Sure...Hey everyone! Though I have made it clear I can't make it in and it "should" be obvious that the store will be down one driver and that a shift is available, I will ask whomever wants to cover my shift, please contact management as THEY are in charge of labor hours, and I am not.
