Question about RCA inputs

I just bought my truck so I am trying to figure out the wiring that me previous owner had installed for his speaker system. Under the seat there are two rca boxes with nothing plugged in. Where do they lead to? What’s the purpose of them? When he sold me there truck there was no subwoofer so I’m wondering if he used these to hook them up?

With zero pictures and no idea what the previous owner did I would take a wild guess and say they are Line output converters. Why two? No clue.
