If it's a regular thing after it reaches normal operating temp them yes. It's normal on cold starts in cold climates. You see it change to black

Going to be 17 tomorrow here with wind chills in the morning in some of my area approaching -10. 20 on Christmas with the same thing. Watching a storm for next Tuesday night through Thursday afternoon that could bring up to 10-12 inches of snow . That is what I have been waiting for! More snow the better!

Jan & Feb we get highs in the low single digits sometimes highs below zero with wind chills approaching -30 to -50 overnight with wind chills -20 during the day.
