Audio Problem (Volvo S60 2005}

On engine start up my radio came on full volume and I was unable to turn off or control volume.
I therefore removed the audio fuse to silence the radio.
Next to the audio fuse was an amplifier fuse which I left in position.
Not sure if by removing the amplifier fuse whether radio would still work if I reinstated the audio fuse
I have had no success in receiving any suggestions other than one suggestion that I need a new system installed for around £500
Any recommendations would be appreciated

Just try it out. By removing amplifier fuse it should silence the audio. Reinserting fuse in radio slot will get radio working again. The amp may just be used to power a subwoofer, which will not be what you were aiming for, but if it powers the entire system, awesome. Check to see if there is a reset button, this may reset the software and maybe solve your issue. If issue persists, first check with a repair tech, it may be a common issue that has been solved.
