Nearly mint Old School Orion HCCA 150 R.
Not many of these around anymore, its essentially an HCCA 225 for subs and an XTR 250 for mids and highs built into one heatsink.
Not sure what it's actually worth because I cant find any for sale anywhere, so I'm open to offers but it's one of my most prized possessions and I'm looking to get a fair price. (I also have an HCCA 2100 in equally as good condition that I'm considering parting with)

Channel 1/2
2 x 50W @4 ohm
2 x 100W @ 2 ohm
Bridged
1 x 200W @ 4 ohm

Channel 3/4
2 x 25W @ 4 ohms
2 x 50W @ 2 ohms
2 x 100W @ 1 ohm
2 x 200W @ .5 ohm Is stable

1 x 200W @ 2 ohms
1 x 400W @ 1 ohm
Hey Bro, I used to own the same amplifier, i bought in new in 1999 with the manual. That amp is a cheater amp, the front channels are actually the rear for subs 1 ohm bridged half ohm stereo. The amp is actually a HCCA 225R and a HCCA 250R in one chassis. Believe me the manual doesn't lie. I paid $1299. new + tax That amp is an absolute power house. I had that amp in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 single cab. It had 4 shallow mounted Pioneer Premier 12'' subs, Alpine deck, Audio control eq3, phoenix gold 5 1/4'' zero point mids, 2 farid cap. That system shook buildings. I'm totally into old school car amplifiers.

Yeah these amps are special. I worked at an Orion dealer in the 90's in Canada and have always been very impressed by their "Old School" amps in particular. Since DEI took over in the late 90's Orion gear is good but not kick ass the way it was before.
Lol! You didn't read my description of the amp but basically quoted my description back to me in your message.;)

The Orion HCCA 150r is an XTR 225 for the highs and a HCCA 250R for the subs. But I know the front channel on the amp is for the subs, in the manual it states the front channel is 400 watts at 1 ohm and 400 watts at 2 ohms for the rear channels. Most of the amps power is delivered to the sub front sub channel. When i was running that amp it pounded so hard, I pulled up to this car audio shop, the owner came out and said it was shaking his desk 75 feet away from where i was parked. I have a few old school amps that I've been collect over the years. I have 2 Orion amps one is a Orion XTR 200, Orion HCCA 250R Picked that up for a pawn shop for $15 Canadian they said it was for parts only, it had no plugs, took it home, used my plugs from my other amp and it works awesome. I have a few PPI PC Amplifiers, PPI PC 250, PPI PC 275, PPI PC 2150, 2 PPI PC 4800 one chrome, 1 PPI PC 21400.2 it's a 1400 watt beast. The PPI PC Class amplifiers are amazing they hit hard but put out wicked sound quality. I'd put the Orion HCCA R series on the same level as the PPI PC class. Both of those series of amps have a 500 Damping Factor. For the last 3 years I've been running a PPI PC 2150 for my subs and PPI PC 275 for my highs. Absolutely amazing sound quality, hits hard, super clean and loud. The gains on both amps are off because my subs are only 2 12'' Rockford P1's. I'm using a 40 farid cap in that setup. I'm going to run the PPI PC 21400.2 and a PC 4800 in my Mercedes. U can look up the manual all the specs are on Google

lol! You felt you had to restate the description I posted months ago twice, and I'm sorry, PPI has never been on the same level as ORION, Rockford, Zapco, and Soundstream. Its more in the Alpine, Lanzar, High Fonics category.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but your have no Idea what your talking about. I never said all PPI amps just the PC class. I currently own both Orion HCCA 250R and A bunch of PPI PC series amps. I Know that both the Orion R series and PPI PC series sound the same because I am currently running the PPI PC 2150 & the PC 275 as I've already mentioned, and have also ran the Orion HCCA 150r in my truck. I think you need to listen to the PC class before you make false accusations. Both the Orion HCCA R series and the PPI PC series were produced at the same time, both series have the same daming factor. Soundsteam amps are always braking down Rockford Fosgate are not sound quality amps good bass though. Lanzar really. High Fonics had alot of issues with there amps. The only good amps you mentioned are the Orion and the Zapco. The PPI PC series amps are top notch amplifiers. Don't be miss lead by people assuming things, I'm living proof, I have no idea why your hating on the PC series amps. Have you listen to any PPI PC series amplifiers? Stop your hating PPI PC series and listen to one before you make false accusations.

Accusations? Lol! Bro I don't need to say anything in reply, you just said the most silly ****. 500 dampening? Do you know anything at all about class A or class B amps? Your comments suggest you dont. It seems like possibly you read an article somewhere about dampening factors of amps and it became your big feature huh? Lol! keep typing some more, let's see what else you don't know about class a and b amps. Judging an amp by its dampening factor is like chosing a hammer because you think the red one hit nails harder than the blue one. From what I can read you don't know much about amps or the meaning of the term "false accusations" .
You should move on.

Hey man you seem to know about Orion amps. What's your take on the HCCA 2400 D amp. I'm new to car audio and really don't know much of anything, but I'm starting to learn. A Chinese guy told me he used to have a really intense system and he sold me that Orion about 3 years ago and I'm just getting around to hooking it up to a Sundown SA 12. Is the amp really good?

My knowledge of amps kinda ends at the newer generation of Class D amps. I sold and installed car audio gear from the late 80's until 96 and then got a real job, but it is still my hobby and a few friends ask for my help every now and then, but I'm stuck in the past. I love class A and B amps from the early 90's or older.

"Old School" ORION proudly put "Made in USA" on every product they made. In the mid 90's ORION was sold to Directed Electronics Inc (DEI) (I believe Korean) Suddenly all ORION products were Asian made (China, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, etc...) and their products were somewhat less well made and somewhat bland (in my opinion). The brand became considerably less cutting edge and aggressive in every department but speakers and Dealers of 15 years dropped the brand. They became consumer grade and eventually in 2005 seemed to finally "get it" and increased the quality and performance but failed to innovate as quickly as other companies like Sound Stream and Rockford Fosgate. Today ORION has still failed to reattain the lofty status it once had in the car audio world but its still really good gear. I would put it on par with 2nd string brands like Pioneer, Alpine, MTX, or Sony.

Class D amps don't interest me much because they don't really shine... They make great power but they lack dynamics (again in my opinion). If all you are doing is is hooking it up to single sub in a loose box in the back of your car or behind the seat of your truck, I think you will be pleased with the 2400D.
Make sure you use 0 gauge power and ground with that thing and make sure your alternator is up to the task. Big three upgrade is always recommended (lots of videos on youtube) when you're playing with 1000 watts or more.

Good luck!

Yes I still have both Amps.

Alright how much are you asking for the 150r? I just got a 250r but I saw this and couldn't help but ask. I'm sorta an Old school orion fan and have a few amps and subs from mid to late 90s and early 2000s. The stuff I couldn't afford way back because I was a kid ha

I'm open to offers, I can't find another one of these for sale anywhere so I dont know what people are paying for them. This one is nearly mint condition. Very small scuffs, looks new. I had an amp tech test it in 2016 - 2017 all the caps are fine and all mosfets are undamaged. I dont believe this amp has seen anything but a 4ohm load or there would be some heat damage to the caps and mosfets. Make me an offer, shipping is going to be extra as this is one of those things one packages up well to ship and it weighs close to 20 lbs.

Geeze well I'm not a offer kinda person because I'm always afraid I will offend but I ask to see if it's in my budget for amp buying. Im just being honest because to me this amp is valuable. Not sure if it's more or less than a 250 but regardless its unique. I have 1 hcca 250g4 in mint condition and I just paid for a 250r that is very nice not mint tho. I paid 200 for the g4 and 250 for the 250r both shipped to me. It's not perfect and has two very small scuffs but it's not bad. I have a 225g4 and a few xtreme amps and 1 cobalt but it's my drug lol. Would you take 275? Please dont be upset it that's way to low I just have no idea what you want for it and I been shopping for the 250s are in that neighborhood.
