Using Airbnb for the first time this week

My wife and I are taking a short weekend get away just her and I (no kids) for the first time in almost 14 yrs this weekend.  We found a nice little house within 30 miles of us with a great view and no neighbors close by.  Only 80/night.  Anyone else used airbnb before?

Really looking forward to the time alone.

Wow that's crazy cheap. I believe that it's a win win for everyone. I'm a fan and user. We all need a little getaway every now and then.

Recently used it for the first time. Everything was pretty easy. Seller/renter wasn't very responsive and is emailing me a month later asking about a tennis racket and a pillow sham? We did everything asked and only used the place to sleep. I'll use it again but not with this renter.

Told the lady we are new to it and she said so is she.  We are only her 2nd or 3rd person to rent it from her.  But she's been really nice so far and very responsive.  She's going to meet us at the house tomorrow to make sure we get settled in.

That's awesome. We all need a private getaway every now and then. Even if it's just to sleep lol. From the reviews it seems like our people were new too but asking me about missing items a month later isn't right. Especially after they left us a good review. It sounds like this owner is really on the ball by meeting y'all there. Enjoy your vacation!!

She ended up not being able to meet us, but her dad owns several houses in the nieghborhood and lives nearby and he came by and introduced himself and left us his contact info in case we need anything and she wasn't available.  Been a great experience so far.

How about this tress house Airbnb here in Atlanta. $300 per night. Booked till August 2019. Rated one of the best in the country.

Agree'd, I'd pass on that.  For that price, I could rent 2 houses on the lake.

People are crazy for it  though. I would never spend $300 to be eaten alive by mosquitoes.
