Whats better Type R's or Diamonds M6

Ok my friend is going to get 2 12's Alpine Type R,he has a 1500 watt amp and i do too and i have 2 10's M6 which would hit more? and whos louder?

I would lean towards the Type-R in the right box.. i have had experience w/ diamonds and the alpines, and the diamond just can't make up for the lost displacement.

One question...R these 2 alpine type r's going to be able to handle 1500 watts....?

The Type R's in the right box should handle 600+ watts RMS easy. I agree, the Type R's should be louder, I've heard them both and they M6's are mostly just a SQ only sub.

hmm i dont know hes buying the amp so if he blows it, its his fault, as for the type R being louder.. ****it any other subs that you guys reccomend, but is withing a price range of 200 a piece? or 250? that would be louder then the Type R's

you can get an SE for about that much...

SE10- $149 (Dual 4)

SE12- $169 (Dual 4)

SE15- $199 (Dual 4)

i would think they would be louder but i have not compared so don't quote me on this

In the "right" box, both of those subs would slam, but if they were both in a recommanded sealed box..I'd say the type R as well, but if you want your Diamonds to have awsome SQ and be louder, go with an ABC box for sure!
