SAS did this already and it flopped, really bad. I've seen the show car with their cooling setup for amp and it wasn't impressive nor cool looking. from what i know it's still available but the amps are discontinued.

I don't know. All amps get hot in Phoenix.

Seconded. I'm in southern Cali, and it's been 90+ lately, and my amps have been hot, even when I'm not pushing them at all. I can still touch them, but they are damned hot.

Yea I am in Southern Cali right now. Deff not hot like home, its quite warm. In the middle of summer, my amps are almost 120 degrees before I even turn them on :/

$30 scroll 53 cfm fans do a great job of keeping them cool..and hiking at least one end of the amp off the flat surface..ill take my 1k,and buy plenty of brewskies with that,new tires for the ride even/new xs batts??

I remember seeing a thread where some guy ran duct work from his dash A/C vents to the pole vents of his subs. Not sure how that turned out.

lightning audio ran C02 to their sub coils. I was going to water cool my z1 so I could run it under .33ohms but I never got to it.

no, no scam.... just an idea... basically a refrigerator for your trunk, keeping it at 50 degrees Fahrenheit.... no matter what. we're still planning it, but thanks for your input, now i can scrap that dream/invention.....

and i don't even have the prototype yet, but it's a refrigerator that will cool your amp(s) + subs and speakers + a good portion of your vehicle if applied correctly down to approximately 50 degrees. i just wanted a community opinion..... now that i know it, i can scrap the idea...... the half, down reason is so i can do one job, get paid the rest and do the others lined up....... I'm in Phoenix, and no one does car audio out here in the summer because of heat..... so i thought up a calculated design to suffice to make it possible to have comps down here.
