Review of Memphis Audio VIV900.5, 5-Channel Amplifier:
75 RMS x 4 @ 4-ohm - 300 x 1 @ 4-ohm
100 RMS x 4 @ 2-ohm - 500 x 1 @ 2-ohm
This amplifier has DSP Technology, not DSP controls.
24 dB and 48 dB crossover slopes are extremely accurate.
When cutting a frequency with this amplifier, there is no "bleed-over" or fading into the cut-off. The frequency is COMPLETELY cut off and comes to a dead stop where you want it to.
Very efficient and very powerful. If you want to power an entire system and have clean and prominent power, this is it....
A wireless bass remote knob ( 18dB of bass boost on the VIV900.5 ) is available for purchase to pair to all VIV amplifiers. This makes installation of a remote for your subwoofer a breeze and very painless.
7 different colors to choose from through LED lighting allow you to match your scheme in your vehicle.
Test performed using the VIV60C 6.5" component system in the front and rear of a 2010 Honda Accord 4-door.
10" BRX D4 Subwoofer in a ported enclosure was used for filling in the low end bass.
CX23 3-way crossover receiving signal from a JVC KWV130BT.
All Metal in doors, rear deck, and trunk are dampened by MOJO MAT for decreased road noise and enhanced sound quality.
All Memphis Audio wiring. It is all Solid Copper Strand, BTW. Memphis has the best wire you can buy.
Haven't heard a lot about Memphis Audio lately and figured someone should put this together and give the brand some props after being quiet for at least 5 years now......
Their new VIV stuff sounds amazing for the price..... The brand is starting to come back around.....
I feel like they just need some guidance and direction from their Die-Hard Fans to help them come back out on top and make a large presence once again!!!
