So I dont live in a great area, and my last car (Sentra) got broken into twice to steal some car audio equipment. I certainly want to put a discrete system in my new auto- Ford Ranger regular cab.
Now, I have been looking at options. It looks like the Cleansweep is a possibility, but I dont have a CD to calibrate. Then, the Audiocontrol LC8i, but heard getting a HU is just a better idea.
SO... I am looking for a double DIN to fit that looks stock. The only ones I noticed were the Panasonic CQ5800u, which is impossible to find and NLA.
Other than that, the Pyle and Boss H/U's seem to be the only plain looking ones. Now, in all my previous caraudio experience, these brands and considered bottom shelf crap.
Is there anyone who can help recommend one? I dont want touch screen, and really only need radio and AUX. I plan to put a 8" sub with a Soundstream di300.1 amp. I am running Fosgate FanaticQ 1406 6.5 midranges upfront and plan on getting some good tweeters with xovers upfront as well. I plan to amp the speakers also so all thats left is finding the amp and the H/U.
Thanks
