to hook up my Pioneer H/U speaker harness to my AMP (yellow) RCA cables?? right now I have a hiss and when I add too much volume the H/U (speakers) cuts out- Thanks in advance
speaker to rca converter, there are 100's out there (all it does is converts the speaker wire outputs into rca's) i'd prob look at one that you can adjust the pwr to each side, also prob look at a 4 channel one so you can still fade front and rear

I Thought I had to reduce the power from the H/U speaker wire to the AMP that is what I am asking I guess- and a reg splitter ( without the converter) would just put me in the same spot - right?

Yes, that's what you need. It's called a line out converter and as was mentioned above, you can get one that converts all four channels from your head unit.
