zx750.1 amp

The little sheet that came with my amp says that the maximum output power(or something like that) was 889 watts. The kicker zx750.1 is only rated at 750 watt on their website. So my question is, can i set the gain so it's pushing ~850 watts, or will it ruin the amp and my S12L7?

Kicker amps are underrated. Your L7 wants all that power, crank the gains up.

ZX750.1 is very underreated, mine is doing 928 watts

It's best to be conservative on gains. If you really want to know where to set your gain use an o-scope.

Just bust out a digital multimeter and use a tone to set your gains right at 850w. The amp will do that power no problem, and the sub will take it no problem.
