Zapco Zr amp

Anyone know about the zr series amps? I have a zr50, 4 chanel amp and know nothing about it. tried google and saw nothing. Its not very powerful, i believe 12.5w/ch. I am just curious if anyone has used one. Is it bridgeable? Probably going to get rid of it eventually as my front speakers are 50rms, so the 12.5 will not cut it.

You sure it ain't a Z50? black amp??

I have a Z300 and a Z150, if the amp is a Z50 and you decide to get rid of it let me know I may be interested just to have another Z series.

It may, be. It's tucked under a seat right now, so haven't looked at it in a while. It is definitely black. It is about 10 years old if that helps. It only has 2 gain knobs on it. One for front, one for back. no filters.

It probably is a Z50.

Good little amps.

The Z series are the classic Zapco amps, very collectible for the die hard Zapco fans.

Edited to add, maybe you have a Kicker amp, they made a ZR series.

Yeah it sounds like a Z50 it has the same ratings you mentioned and no filters...

Mine say 1992 on the board of each amp I believe..

So i was a little off on the model. It is a z50s4. Can i bridge it to get 25w for the fronts? I think i may just have to get a new amp for the fronts when i put my sub in, because i dont think this will be able to keep up.

Thats what i figured. Dont think its going to keep up with 1200watts from my sub amp.

well, i dont think that will happen anytime soon. It is powering my stock speakers for now. Until I put the sub and components in, i will just keep it in there. i moved to a ski hill and my sub is in storage till april.
