2016 Amplifier Shootout

Noted car audio champion and audiophile Matt Hall posted the 2016 Amplifier Shootout to the audiophile Facebook page Strictly Sound Quality. Rather than comparing specs, this comparison was done by actually listening to the amplifiers. 18 audiophile listeners auditioned the amps and divided them into four SQ classes from "less than audiophile" to "Audiophile Reference Level". And right at the top tier Reference Level was the Zapco Z-400.2LX. Here's what the judges said: "The fit and finish... is fantastic. It earns top marks for having crystal clear transparency, and a very wide and deep soundstage. Dynamics were seemingly limitless." Overall? "Stunning!"

PS: Other amplifiers in the same Reference tier cost from 2 times to 4 times much as the Z-400.2LX. So the 400.2LX is an amazing value!
