Zapco or Audison?

Depends on what I can find. Your answer was pretty much what I was looking for.

Probably the Lrx monoblock on the Audison. Equivalent priced amp line on the Zapco.

If you already have Zapco, then I'd get another Zapco (for the simple fact that your amps will match, and I'm anal) because their performance is going so close that I doubt you'd tell a difference.

Well, my Z150 is an older model that is all black with the thin fins.

I can match brands, but unless someone has an older Z220 or so I will have a different "look" anyway.

But I was leaning towards the zapco anyway. Audison seems good, I like that it is unique, but I already have the zap.

Not familiar how those who invest in Audison gear deal with warranty issues, when a dealer decides not to exchange an amp but rather service them according to manufacturer's warrantee being they are an Italian company- that would be an issue for me as buyer

I'm sure they have repair centers here in the US; Denon is a Japanese company, yet they have mulitple factory authorized repair houses here.

But, last I knew Red Mountain Audio was the only US Audison distributor, and IIRC they have since gone out of business........so I'm not even sure how Audison gets to the US...LOL

Funny, I have an Audison dealer in my city, and no Arc. And then in the US, Arc is easier to get, and no Audison.

"Amps don't *have* sound quality" so why don't you save some huge bux and go with teh good ol' Pyramid?

(kidding)!!!!

As hinted at previously, you may want to keep Zapco if you're already running Zapco. You're talking high-end to high end, and it doesn't get much higher than Zapco (or Audison, for that matter).
