I just installed the set in my truck the other day and I am very pleased with the results in this truck. I have more room in it and am able to be back farther from the actaul speakers so everything is working out better. Plus for some reason everything is ALOT louder. I think I am just going to stick with the US. I kinda hate to get rid of them. I think they are the best bang for the buck sq amp out there. Of course I am talking about the old ones. I am not as fond of the new ones since they moved to california. And yes.....I would LOVE to have a McIntosh.....but.....they do come with a very hefty price tag and I don't know if I would really tell the difference. I'm going to get my DQS put in sometime next week maybe and do some tweaking but everything sounds good so far. I did have a problem yesterday though. I was in the truck doing some adjustments for a little while and then went inside. I went back out and my truck wouldn't start. My fuel pump went out so I had to change it out today but I am back going!hmmmnnnn. nope.
I know Emilios at Dynaudio USA has a ARC Signature SE4200 pushing the newest released Dynaudios in his personal car...
To the poster, IMO a McIntosh (any Mac) is a collectors piece. It is the benchmark.
And if it was within reach, I'd buy it over the ones mentioned-period.
On another note, comparing high end amps from a performance standpoint its too much of an apples vs apples comparsion. In which case comes down to budget, footprint, and getting the most power for your dollar.
