Zapco 1100.1 problems..

Got a Zapco 1100.1.. it worked, now it doesn't.. power lighted flashes on & off..

Which I'm assuming that means protect.. but everytime it turns back on.. it sends power to whatever it's hooked up to.

Any ideas?

Set it up in 3 different cars.. does tha same in each vehicle.

Even ran it directly to a battery.. still flashes.

Ok...gonna have to be a process of elimination to solve this. What are you running and what's the load? Hopefully you're not running it a 1 ohm.

it does it before u even hook it up to any sub. it turns on and then off. then on and then off. with no load on it.

Only been run @ 2 ohm.. & yes.. what Lade said.

But when it WAS hooked up to subs (@ 2 ohm) it would turn on, bump tha subs.. fade out, turn on, bump tha subs.. fade out again..

& then it does that over & over..

Unfortunately, it sounds like it's power supply working, but outputs are blown. It powers up, detects unusual load from damaged outputs, which triggers protection and shuts down power supply. It could be as simple as a bad ground also. You may want to check that.
