no i know about the Z06 .... there was some guy at school today talking about the Z16 ... so i was like i never heard of it ... so i asked on the forum

ok so it says its the Commemorative Edition for Z06.. what does that mean and what can it do over a normal Z06

Looks like it's nothing more than an appearance package for the Z06. Adds a carbon fiber hood as well for some weight savings (doubt it's that much, as the Z06 is already pretty light).

On the other hand, the ZL1 that is rumored to be getting produced for '06 is a **** interesting thing.. twin turbo LS6 w/ 650hp. Basically an LPE tuned Corvette offered direct from Chevy.

That twin turbo motor isnt coming from the factory like that is it? I always thought chevy wanted straight motor. Hell they could turbo a LS-1 and hurt ford even more.

You really have no clue as to how utterly devestating it would be to the US (and world) economy if Ford, GM, DCX, Toyota, or VW simply collapsed, do you? If you don't, then I'm not going to bother trying to explain it all to you, because I have better ways of wasting my time.

GM couldn't get 650hp all-motor and be able to pass emissions. Only way to do that would be with a V10 or V12, and that would ruin the balance of the automobile significantly. LPE already makes a TT 427 Corvette pushing 650hp, so it wouldn't be surprising for GM to offer that in the same way as they did the SS package for the Camaro Z28.
