Well ive been reading everything from the classifieds to the thunderdome for the past couple months. Ive read alot of shiz I didnt know and some I do know. Ive had everthing from fultron to critical mass and most betwixt. I have made most of the mistakes ive read about but tried to learn each time It's a miracle I havent burned more amps and subs in the past 30 yrs or so because I didnt know anything about impedance or matching subs and amps till about 5 yrs ago. I am a welder by trade but love old cars and trucks and making them go fast. Ive always had a thing for audio ever since 1986 when I heard a classmates system. He had an alpine cassette, yamaha eq/booster, a tiny alpine 3517 amp, a pair of m&m 6x9s, mb quart components, and a ten inch pyle driver on the 3517 which I own along with the yamaha eq to this day .I.have many old amps and subs and decks etc , some work, some may not. I dont get rid of anything and if I own something, I seem to have a collection or nothing. I definantly appreciate the new audio equip and the ease of install and durability. I still like my ab amps.on subs sometimes but im not tied and died to it. I love OLD PLANET AUDIO, AUTOTEK, MTX amps (usa made only) ive had good luck with some.of the new Chinese amps as well, I.just hate that we import ANYTHING. My curent setup consists of my old eclipse 8445, os, hifonics componants in the doors w/tweets on the posts, critical mass 6x9s in boxes, autotek sx4160 on the doors and 6x9s, two soundqubed hd212 (600rms) in a custom ported box, planet audio tt2.600 on 4ohms bridged. It sounds like any other single cab dually with a decent sys. I wish I had found ca.com years ago . I guess if ive put too much b.s. here, someone will have a stroke for my inconveniencing the forum.I can already **** near guess the offendees. Im no john kunth or however you spell it. That dude can take a beating. I dont mind criticism or even flat out bashing as long as it can be taken and makes some attempt at real humor. Also, im recently divorced after.28yrs, I have three boys critical m 11-23, I am just trying to get by and thought id check this out .Never been on any forum but I have 100% posative feedback and nearly 500 transactions on ebay,, mostly purchacing amps and hotrod parts. Maybe ill meet some good peeps on here and learn a thing or two , HOLLA

Anyway, welcome aboard. I too remember when Pyle subs were actually good and have fond memories of when M&M was setting SPL records.

Thank you sir. I appreciate the welcome. I wouldn't know where to start on a wall full of giant magnets. They look cool enough and probably sound better. Maybe I can get my oldest son interested in something like that. Hes running a factory ford sony upgrade with a single powered kicker ten from walmart-tx . I tried to tell him his 2 hundy could be spent better . Anyway, im wanting to do something with some 8s (2) with about 500 each on them. Ive been looking at some pretty impressive stuff as far as box design and output on these newer 8s. Ive got anI econo shiz box( 2014 nissan versa) that may have enough room in the back. Ive installed my old alpine cda7893 and 6.5" kicker ks (I think ks) in all four corners. I used some cool plastic enclosures too that are made for the versa. Right now I have a sound ordnance ported 212 with a couple ten thousand mega watt rms each coil and functional metallic blue paint mofos. My gf thought they were gonna show me "what for". Bless her heart. She was trying to surprize me and I truly appreciate it. Ive got them on 600 +-rms each and thats ALL THEY WANT. 2.5 coils rated at 1500 rms! They make plenty of racket but my 600watt sound qubed 12s that cost the same make the.mofos sound like my ex banging some t-fal with a meat hammer. I want to show her a couple 8s can way out perform anything called a mofo. Now, the eights I have are (im gonna get wiener slapped) probox rocks pro 8. They are single coil and appear to be 3" .I bought them from a friend that immediately replaced them with cvrs without trying them AFTER he bought a LOADED box designed for these woofers. I paid a hundy for them but they look really good and MUCH larger motor struct. than cvr OR an L7 while we're here. I can barley find any info and dont think they are availible any longer but are rated at 400rms. We will see. I want to have a box designed for them as well as the versa.I'll run off at the head from now.on if I dont stop now. Thanks again for the welcome and I'll see what I can do about not being a no it all scum bag douche guzzler that asks for help just to argue. I DONT KNOW SHIEIKE MUSLIM from shine-ola, I like it that way but I **** sure wont repeat the same question hoping to get "my answer" and if im wrong, im wrong. I can handle being wrong but I show like the alternative better. Come on

Right on brother, and thank you for welcoming me as well. Im good with a little back and forth. I can give as well as I take it. I try to steer clear of personal attacks and have seen some on here have no boundaries. Its all good though. Im just interested in car audio and how I can do it better for not alot of cash. Im not afraid to work and do it myself. I also know when to rely on others. If im rattling about doing something that is not gonna be right, point it out however you want. Folks have gotten a little thin in the skin when we cant take others opinions, let alone someones actual KNOWLEDGE that contradicts our own IDEA. I look forward to your input, good or otherwise, in the future.
