Your thoughts on interconnects

Actually, smarty-pants, that post was a reference to the lack of audible noise differences between an affordable quality RCA and a super-audiophile grade RCA interconnect.
saying that you cant tell the difference between a low-grade interconnect and a higher quality interconnect.

Well then, next time I ask about buying a new Buick, why don't we just all start comparing it to a jet fighter. I mean, they're both modes of transportation.

The question was in regard to differences between interconnects, not a conversation of balanced vs unbalanced.

last time i did that i ended up with a honda

monster cables are ridiculous. i am not too happy with the monster cable component cables i bought.
What'd you expect?

For $100+ a pair, they better lower the noise in my system AND give me a better blowjob than my girlfriend ever can.

Quality RCAs are quality RCAs. Parity.

the signal is clean and the picture is sharp, its just that they arent super flexible because they are three wide and have a thick jacket. and they have this strap thing with a THX logo on it that adds to the not so fun routing of wires.

Ok kids back on topic. So around $30 or so the price vs performance on these starts to fall off you think...hmmmmmm. I have Knu cables and they work great...I don't need any ideas on brands and whatnot. I was merly opening a discussion on the cost vs benefits of the true playa $hit you see some of these competitors running and if it's really worth it even at that level. I, for one, have not bought into the marketing hype that Monster and other's have propagated. But I do think that the signal should be protected at some level of investment.

Oh, and I got this inkling, in part after reading this article on Scott B's install and how he dispells the myth of seperating the power leads form the signal leads: http://www.roadgearmag.com/article.asp?section_id=11&article_id=485&page_number=4

IXOS pays Scott Buwalda to use their wiring. That's a bad example. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
