Your opinion on these for everyday Driver replacement

So I am replacing a pair of infinity's in the rear of my wife's car.. (The pitchy *** tweeter is driving her crazy..)

So I wanted your opinion **Out of these choices** which one do you think would have the best sound...

-Note: She already has a pair of the kenwood 6x8 upfront they sound pretty nice.. same type as number 1 just a smaller size FYI

Choices:

1. Kenwood: Like the Front but is a 5-way and slightly bigger

Kenwood KFC-6993PS (kfc6993ps) - 6" x 9" Speakers - Sonic Electronix

2. RF: RMS rating is exactly inline with the amp RMS power

Rockford Fosgate P1694 (09-p1694) - 6" x 9" Speakers - Sonic Electronix

3. JBL Power-

JBL P963 - 6" x 9" Speakers - Sonic Electronix

4. RF Power-

Rockford Fosgate T1693 (09-t1693) - 6" x 9" Speakers - Sonic Electronix

I really would like your imput guys on these 4 selections.. I am running a 4-ch Reference series. 75 RMS x4 @ 4ohm and I really dont want to run 2 ch on 2 ohm and the other 2 on 4 ohm..

With no experience and those four choices, I would get the JBL's. That's mostly because I dislike anything Kenwood makes besides their decks, and Rockford speakers have never wowed me, besides the largish magnets on my buddy's power 6x9's.

I wouldn't say they have as much midbass, but we only had them on 100W and considering they are rated at 250, I'd say we weren't getting the full potential out of them.

On the other hand, the tweeters are loud as fuck on that much power, and don't distort a single bit. I wouldn't hesitate to run some as rear fill if I actually needed rear fill, but I only have a single cab truck.

God i owned an almani amp a few years back and everyone gave me shit
In all honesty, how was it? I was peeking around on eBay when I was searching for the link I posted in this thread, and saw they had a two channel that does like 225x2 for $80...sounds unheard of for the price.

Along with some 1kW 12's for $50 apiece...that I certainly wouldn't mind messing around with. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

this is off the almani website........

S7-Components

360 Watt Power Handling Subwoofer

- Dual 4" Voice Coil

- Forged Aluminum Basket

- Dual Layered Nomex Spider

- Dual Layered Neoprene Surround

- Double Extended Backplate

- Extra Long Pole Piece

- Double Vent Cooling System

- Easy Push 8ga. Terminals

How the hell can a 6" speaker have 2 4" voice coils? i dont know if i would trust there shit if they cant even get there specs printed right. LOL.

I wouldn't say it's impossible...

It was a mono 1k... dis rated easy

OK.. so basically to explain my delema here is my problem..

I have compared a pair of RF- Punch to a similar pair of infinities.. -The RF Punch had a very clear and life like balance to it's mid-high range the Infinity just did not have but lacked alot on the high end very much compared to the infinities.

However I have not compared the Power Series "T" as there is no where to listen to them locally to me so I can only assume they will be like the punch kinda,

Same with the JBL power.. only thing i can get a feel for their sound is from the Kappa's at Car Toys as they are pretty much the same thing. Kappa seamed to lack the 'life like sound' i'm used to older JBL/INfinity to have..

Kenwood- As I stated before she has a 6x8 pair of the same type of kenwood that actually do not sound bad... just not that detailed on the higher end.

So i was thinking maybe being they are 5 way with the 2 extra tweets maybe they would sound a little bit more detailed on the higher end.. but i really have no way again to listen to them locally.. I'm gonna keep searching for them at local mom-pop shops see if i can find them to listen too..

So this what I'm kinda looking for.. The "Richness" of mid sound of the RF, The overall even balance of the kenwood, the detail of the Infinity-Minus the pitchyness of the tweets.. with out having to buy her a pair of JBL GTI series like i have in my car.. if you think you can point me to something that matches those descriptions let me know your opinion and brand..

I'm not opposed to trying something else.. I guess if it is truly what I'm looking for.. as long as they can take the abuse..
