Your opinion on an amplifier please.

I have an Audioque 90x4 amp that no longer has warranty. How much do you think they might charge to fix it? It's stuck in "protect." I am trying to weigh the option of fixing it or buying a new one. They charge a $45 flat rate shipping so im assuming its going to cost me roughly that to ship it to them.

so far I calculate $90 in shipping alone. do you think they'll charge over 100 to fix?

I honestly dont want to send it, only to have them charge me a ton to fix when i could get another one.

Im thinking all said and done..you will prob spend around $150...for that, you could get a soundstream LW4.620,for $148.15 shipped,and comes with a 2yr warranty on ebay

Or even see if dbr will fix it for cheaper

It's just hard to gauge the cost. its like a blind proposition. they can charge 20 bucks or 200...who knows. not even they know since they have to check it out first.

in the mean time, what you guys think about this amp http://www.helixhifi.com/products/product_details.asp?item_id=176188# im wondering if it doesnt have enough power.

its going to power a set of tweet and a set of ID CX62 V2 MIDRANGE SPEAKERS. The rms is 125.
