your loyalty to a product

use whatever product that suits your needs, if matching appeals to you then go for it and if you stay with a cetain brand for whatever reason then go for it as well, what it all boils down to is your satisfaction of the sound being produced.

choke your chicken............. iwas referring to different brands as far as building your system. meaning pioneer HU mtx subs alpine amps kenwood passive etc, etc, etc. every part of your system is made by a different manufacture. now do you understand what im saying.
Every part of your Dell, Sony, Alienware, and so-on is built by a different manufacturer as well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Then we find out that all the chips come from god****ed Malaysia;

CHIPS : Malaysia

SUBS : Buildhouse

Current system:

HU - Pioneer (Premier)

Processing - PPI eq/MTX xover

Speakers - MTX (black gold)

subs - Pioneer (Premier PRS)

Amps - Pioneer (Premier PRS)

cd changer - Pioneer

System going into next vehicle:

HU - Pioneer (premier) P9

Processing - Pioneer (premier) P9

Amps - Pioneer (premier PRS)

speakers - Pioneer (premier PRS)(mids and highs/MTX(midbass)

subs - Pioneer (premier PRS)

As you can see my current setup is sort of diverse but the next one will be totally active with basically ALL Pioneer Premier. I've heard all of this equipment and love the performance of all of it so there is NO need to change.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

how much is all the PRS stuff running you?

I got the P9 combo for a little over 1300. The 5 PRS amps I have a little over a grand into them. The subs were 700 for the pair. I do NOT yet own the PRS components but they will probably be around 300 for the mids and tweets.

I'm a die-hard fan of Kenwood - haven't owned another brand of HU since '89 or '90. I am not a fan of their speakers, however, so I look elsewhere for those. I continue to be perfectly satisfied using Kenwood HUs and amps - but as far as speakers go I have owned too many different kinds to consider myself 'loyal' to any one company.

I love the DAT gear I'm running now but if I had gotten as good of a deal on something else comparable when I was doing my eBaying I would have been easily willing to try those out as well.

I have a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X589, and I love mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I liked the head unit I had in before, but now that I have had this one for about 3 weeks and tweeking it up, it just blows me away. I know what you are talking about though with the different brands to complete a system. I am running 3.. The Excelon head unit, Infinity kappa's and Alpine's. It all works for me so I am happy with it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
