you can do a small 2 channel amp and 1 set of good mids for the same price as 2 sets of decent coax...

Too much trouble for what he wants. Coaxials all around off h/u power is more than enough to make 75% of people happy.

granted i don't know alot about car audio, i'd have to agree. I'm going to be installing myself so i'd rather not have to worry about rewiring and whatnot, just take off the door panels, throw the new speakers in and good to go...

You're 100% right there. Just as long as they are effecient they should make him a happy "Cuum-by-yaah" camper

they are cheap on cost and sound decent on deck power

no sense wasting time recommending anything better.

the Kappas will do fine if you don't want it really loud ( but they get decent volume on decent deck power )

I think i'm going to go that route. I'm happy with how loud the factory speakers get, just the fact that they get so distorted you can't makeout any lyrics is a bit disappointing haha. Plus i'd like to keep my hearing 30 years from now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. As long as they will be a major upgrade from my stock speakers, i'll be more than content.
