bi-amp terminals?

bi-amp terminals?

Yeah, I was intending on expanding the crossover to allow for it, but I never actually did once I got them assembled as they didn't need it. I should have stuck with the regular binding posts but I already had the terminals in stock. One of those hindsight things like usual.

Yeah, I'm not planning on getting rid of my 2A3 amp when it's finished...although I might need to steal a pallet or so of NOS output tubes to keep me going for the next few years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I do have to comment that the JBL setup I have is getting BETTER by the day. It is no audiophile system by anymeans but for what I paid for them and what they are, there is no equal I have found. They really do not look like anything special but after about a month of break in WOW! They have really come around and impressed the heck out of me for an entry level speaker. Guess the reviews on c-net and audioreview.com were true. For performance / value rating I rate them a 10/10 Also the e250P sub is a freaking monster for the price. Makes my older 12" velodyne run for cover and I used to think the velodyne was great! Only downside is the e250p could actually be considered an end table if it had glass on it... the thing is huge!

My girls brother is a Doc and makes tons of money. Heck his yamaha receiver "$5000" cost more than my system "with tv". He came over and had a listen because he had not heard of the jbl speakers I was useing, not suprising because he uses nothing but the best and most expensive. Anyways I kept the room dark so he could not really see the gear and let him have a long listen to a few movies and then to some music. He had a really confused look on his face like wtf. He just commented "wow, you really have it setup well and those speakers sound very good, that sub is simply awsome, rips this room up!". Just to be a smart ***, as I usually am.. I asked what he thought I paid for the whole speaker setup. He asked to see them so I turned the lights on, he took a look at them, picked them up, looked at the overall build quality and very nice binding posts on all the speakers etc.. His guess was around $3000-$3500 for the speaker setup. He said they did not really look that high end but the performance was very good so they must be at about that price range "paid about $1000 for it all online" I just nodded and said "yeah they were not so bad priced amd he replied "see told ya, I know my gear pretty well, thinking I had agreed that I paid that much for them. knowing the setup sounded better than his" did not have the heart to tell him the whole speaker setup cost less than his center channel haha!

He ended the demo telling me that he liked the overall sound of my system as much if not a little more than his own and he was going to go check out the jbl's and asked were to demo them at because he was going to do another ht in another part of his house "4200sq ft". I told him best buy, but I did not purchase them there.. another confused look on his face, then he says "best buy??" they sell nothing but junk there for audio. I told him well... they did not sound like junk to you did they?? And he had a huge grin and said no, they really sound great! This was getting fun! He got home later that week and guess he looked up the prices on the pc and called me up and gave me a rash of crap that I had "done it again with bargain equipment making it sound better than his "professional and professionally installed gear, and thanks for making him look like a dork for guess the price to be so much more" He said he poped in blade 2 which I demoed for him and he was ticked that it sounded much better at my place. Anyways it was a good night for me!

yeah I am happy, he has allot better equipment and yes it was not setup quite right by his local hi-fi company.. Allot of very miss-matched gear //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

as for stereo stuff...

my friend is a dj, so we use his stuff when we have a little get together. i would like to get into dj stuff as well. he is kind of teaching me little by little.

all cerwin-vega speakers:

two psx-253 dual 15" three way floor standing speakers.

four ab36b 18" folded horn subwoofers.

four psx-122 12" coaxial style pole mounted speakers

all yamaha amps and processing:

two p7000s one for the two dual 15" towers and one for the four subwwofers

p3500s for the coaxials

totaling 8400 watts rms.

i dont know what he uses for the main source unit, he tried to explain but there are too many details.

when in a school gym he has enough highs and mids to make your ears bleed and enough bass to make your eyes pop out.
