Not sure what you mean by "purest". But DISTILLED water is a very good insulator. Either your water wasn't distilled, or you had a really dirty bucket.

Distilled" means that the biological agents as well as the minerals have been removed… well, most of them anyway. There is a such thing as "triple-distilled water", which is ultra-pure but only chemist have created it and it picks up it positive charge almost immediatly!!

Ive had the piss shocked out of me after just filling a bucket in the warehouse, set the bucket down when to put the top on and BAM!! So there is where and how I get my reasoning for calling your bluff!!

Were you standing in the water? What was the bucket made of? How would this scenario show that the water was conducting? I am not bluffing. Unless the water has picked up a charge either through an electrolytic process or disolution of a reactive metal it will not conduct.

give it a little time sitting in open air and the purest water you can conjure will pick up plenty of conductive substances to be a decent conducter, unless you have completely pure water in a closed clean enviroment without any contaminants then you are going to introduce conductive substances into that water...

why in the world are you arguing about the conductivity of water anyways

heck I dont even understand the reason for this argument, how many systems are grounded to the body? 99% or is it 99.8% in those cases it works just fine, and it is fairly simple to do, so forgive me but why argue over the fact.
