was alittle upset cause i couldnt get the Orion to stay stable at .5:(

the goal was before I sell these subs is to hit 150's. I guess i may have to buy another amp to do so:(
try a dual chambered, SMALLER box with 4 aeroports out of the box firing at the back and the 12s firing up. also, get your note up to 51hz. That equipment is easily capable of a 150 in that vehicle. try rolling the volume up as well instead of a straight burp, that may give you enough impendence rise to get more power out of the amp than a straight burp since the electrical system cant keep up with a straight burp.

ditto on the rolll...

I ran the 2500d on stock alt and one battery no problems at .5.

x2..as a matter of fact, i do it daily, factory alternator, red top battery. even just a straight burp...

impedence rise in my enclosure means i'm getting max spl at 52-53hz @ 2ohms..lol..so i do a 144.4 with an s18x off 1700wrms from my orion 2500d (outlaw, new tl) wired to .5 nominal..hence the amp change i'm doing thrusday...

anyway, back on topic, the orion is more then capable of .5ohm stability, as the previous ppl have mentioned, and as i prove daily...lol

I hear and read i can get it to .5. but everytime i try it doesnt stay

Only will go for about a 4 sec burp, then go into protection

I feel maybe im drawing to much

lol...yeah..a 3-4 sec burp is good...

what settings are u using..i wonder if ur overdriving it somehow? ever notice what ur voltage is dropping too?

I can tell You that 1 Orion 2500D @ .85'ish dcr will draw upwards of 320 amps @ full tilt with a lil' clipping.

Two of these amps (one per coil @ .85ish) off of two Blue Tops will start out @ 14.6 vdc float and end @ ~11.2 vdc after 4-5 seconds.

id turn that sub-sonic filter off and let all the crap come through...and why does a non-strappable amp have a master/slave switch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

You can still link the gains so that a pair will match. I have heard that you can still strap them if you know what you are doing. I am not sure how true that is though,.
