Didn't the destroyer have a 4" coil thought?? I could be wrong, I don't remember.

You are correct...

Doesn't look much like a destroyer motor, but would have to see a different angle to know for sure.

Even then, there is no way to know for sure.

To know what this thing really is you have to know the history. Which it doesn't seem like anyone knows.

I can get more pics of the motor if you guys need it. The story I was told, and im not sure if its true or not is, The subs were SX's bought to compete. The original owner imediatly tore them apart and reconedt hem as MT. He apparently said he thought the SX had better cooling and was a stronger motor. I do not know if this is true or not, but its what we were told.

Im not sure. Like I said, Im not sure if the whole story is true. Its what he and I heard but were not sure. Id hapily spend 100 on a SX though so im not complaining. Il see if my friend knows anything else about the sub that could explain it. The spyder is apparently pretty stiff, but idk how stiff a SX spyder is. I guess well have to put 2000-3000 watts to it and see if it holds up, then we will know what VC it is.
