In all honesty, I'd go subless before I went kicker.

Yeah, I wanted to say something along the lines of "id pick up cans on the side of the road for days to not buy a kicker" in that thread

I've built a couple impressive little kicker setups for guys that already had the gear. Not anything I'd buy but there's really nothing all the wrong with their equipment other than the price lol.

A lot of people are forgetting Kicker (AKA Stillwater Designs) is a big part of the start up of the car audio world.

Everyone has to start somewhere. Kicker is bottom on the food chain for them first time systems buyers. I really like the L7 8" I had and L7 10. Very impressive for a sub that I paid $50 bucks for.. And if anyone says kicker is junk prly isn't very educated in the car audio. A very good enclosure and proper install can make all most any woofer sound great. And as boomin Tahoe said above, kicker is a huge part of the movement of car audio to get where we are today.

Simple. No SS filter so adjustments are no good.

A BC2000 wired at .5ohm(estimated 2800rms) was .5db(a lot) louder than a 11ZX2500(BS 2800rms) wired at 2ohm. Not a lick of difference in response and both peaked the same. Both tuned with scopes at the same levels.
