Just looks like the foam sealer strip on the mount ring to me

for the most part its foam tape, but the mount ring isnt the strongest either... so there is a little denting around the mount holes but nothing horrible.

edit: just noticed how bad the pic really makes it look lol

mine are ported, tuned to ~40 or so and i wouldnt doubt them keeping up with a smaller 10.

Hmmm it might be hard to port mine for size restrictions... also I've never fiberglassed and never built a ported box... but hey, why not making it a friggin massive challenege as usual... it's more fun that way...
