Yellowtop in the trunk or Kinetic?

Dense are we?
"Nonspillable

Due to its completely sealed case, the OPTIMA Yellow Top battery is extremely safe and corrosion resistant. Acid can't leak or spill, making them clean, user-friendly and environmentally sound. In addition, the maintenance free sealed case design eliminates the need to add water or clean terminals."

I don't know what you have seen... But Yellow Tops are SEALED... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Maybe they are modded? But a stock Yellow top is SEALED...
It's sealed until it is overcharged, then the SAFETY VALVES open up to allow the gases produced to vent. If the battery were totally sealed it would go BOOM if overcharged. Instead it just goes PFFFFT. If it gets to that point often it's pretty well trashed though.

it's this other quote from the optima site that gets me. Mind you, not from typical use."Overcharging can cause the safety valves to open and battery gasses to escape, resulting in premature failure. These gasses are flammable!"

^^ the vent's i've seen hosed to the outside of the vehicle in show cars.

i'm done.
Well that is just S-T-U-P-I-D... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Because if the battery did that and it did open it is because the liquid inside boiled which means you funked up your battery. If this happens then the installer is simply an idiot or they are pushing the battery WAY beyond where it should be operated. Which in some cases may be needed, BUT in this case he is NOT going to be over charging his battery like that so for ALL intents and purposes it is sealed. BTW, wouldn't a Kinetic do the same thing? Or does it just blow up?

they vent, but "overcharged" isnt the only way a battery boils...

well im back been workin at school and work. welli really think ismy red top dimming cuz the yellow and red are wired in parrallel they told me that if i put an isolator i will lose about .7 volts. So im probally take it out put the yellow upfront and the kinetic 2400 in the back. my a;ternator puts out 120 at idle thats what irragi said.
