Yellow Top Vs Red Top

It's likes asking whats better the heat or the cold...both have similliar properties but two seperate functions.....The yellowtop is a deep-cycle batter and the redtop is a starter battery...easy as that...if you get a yellowtop I would get a yellowtop big enough that has enough CCA to start your engine and run your system...I have a Odyssey PC1700 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Id look into other names like kinetik....odyssey.....not against Yellowtop..just saying theres other options....it depends on what accessories you have to assume which battery you'd need...

yellow, i had a red top when i had my old factory alt and it couldnt charge it fast enough i guess idk, i did have some bad voltage drops alt was part of it but batt sat at 10v when not charging //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i have a 220amp alt running an orion 2500d @ 1 ohm for my subs and another 600 watt amp for my mids/highs but i still have a stock batt (have big 3 done though).....i still get a bit of dimming so i want a better battery to complement my HO alt....any suggestions are welcome

Yellow top has a lower internal resistance and is made to withstand the extreme conditions of your system. They also recover from times you run them down completely. . .

what kind of car is it? there are 1 or 2 kinetik 2400's for sale on the for sale part of the forum. if you dont compete it still offers you a lot more reserve than that size yellow top which means more time of hard running before you have to turn it down to recharge. just depends on whether or not it would fit. http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=125429&page=2
i have a '98 jeep grand cherokee.....and isnt that the largest size yellowtop?
