lol i have seen many a blue top many kinetik 2400's and 2150's (might be 1700's ) in those types of vehicles. in a street use or even in a simplistic comp vehicle (where charging and up keeping isnt wanted) reserve copacity is your friend

deep cycle bats are not the best thing for systems, tho a bunch of people use them. deep cycle bats arent designed to slew all their current out at one time, more over a period of time, so they stay charged longer for stuff like trolling motors.

to handle transient peaks in current, for things like music with the car off, or burps in competition, you want a quick charge/discharge bat like the red top or reg car bat that is designed to give you everything it has all at one time, and recharge quickly enough to handle the next attack.

blue tops , 2150's , 3200's and 2400's have better burst qualities to them than a red top and or a regular battery. most of the time people dont listen to their stuff cranked all the time but when you do its nice haveing more stable voltage. in db drags (usaci as well) those 4 batteries are what they use in stock/street classes. (might be onesies or twosies of something else but that is what 90% used at least.

i just charged mine up from 12.6 resting to 13.4 resting in under an hour and its still resting at 13.4. they have real low esr and i jammed on it all the way from work to home lol (almost 2 hours) and thats the real first maintain i did. amp draws 70-80 amp peaks the alt is 80 amps and i had to have the heater on high and light on (plus i bet my alt doesnt do 80 amps lol its old as dirt)
