Nothing is going to actually "fix" the border process that has been an issue for the last 40 years!!!
But not doing anything because a loser wannabe dictator wants to leverage it to try an win an election he can't win (and tying to foreign aid after we have been supporting that cause for two years now, can simply call time out) not going to play anymore), is a travesty and un-american. Any bill that advances reform and changes the process for better (which it will do) is a step in the right direction, plain and simple. Seems the common sense logic is totally absent from the MAGA right. Holding the border and Ukraine hostage is outrageous!

Ukraine is one of the most corrupt governments in the world...as far as I'm concerned we got better things to spend that money at home...
The border has been a problem because BOTH parties are garbage and won't vote for anything that could hurt their reelection...
But go ahead a make it about "parties"...
it is about parties, you have to blind not to see that. The house leadership has come right out and stated as much, on video for all to see, it's not a secret. If it didn't have to do with parties why the only reference to the link being Schumer? C'mon, can't hid behind that excuse when you laid the foundation for that permis in the first place.
I was expecting the what about what about anyways, You have most all of the western world supporting Ukraine and it is an incredible opportunity to use out equipment and see what works, what doesn't if you really want to get down to the very basics of what it affords us and our allies (even if that is a morally indefensible position, I did say basic). as far as corrupt, need to check more than Faux news for information on Ukraine.
I'm 63 and remember the stories my grandfather told me about the Korean war. my father leaving when I was four to serve two years in Vietnam, captain,pilot.

Because he's the one that went on TV and said this will fix the border...and that if it's not passed troops need to be deployed in Ukraine...

Okay, well then, my apologies.
I should've known better, that stuff just gets under my skin. the fact remains that there is a bill, it will help, and as usual, the house leadership is hinting that it is dead on arrival. Granted, it is all politics. Politics aside, this bill needs to get done, for both the border and the war in Ukraine. They tied it to the Ukraine provisions because the know how important that part is too and knowing that both would be better than one or the other, for everyone (in addition to giving something to both sides of the isle)!
Don't worry about spending money elsewhere, both parties spend too much on what serves their political perspective, agendas, nothing new there and it's not going to change as long as we don't have term limits great benefits and wonderful lifelong pensions after 6 years.
Make it so congress doesn't get any pensions, can't be privy to their stock investments while in office, term limits only great pay and medical (got to have some motivation other than being a great citizen), and see who really cares to work on my and your behalf.

Everyone loves to take things out of context as long as it serves their narrative. I've said my (very educated) piece. Read the current 370-page senate bill, then get back to mean the specifics' of why this or any bipartisan bill isn't good, better than nothing.
The border issues didn't start with this president, the previous president or the 5 before him.
