The point of this thread is obviously to give just enough misinformation to let the OP make his political point. Nothing factual or intelligent here.....

What makes me laugh is that there are people on here who live on wellfare and "Government Giveouts"
Guess where the wellfare and giveouts come from? People who work for a living to support your lazy fat *****!

did you figure that out all by yourself heres a gold star and a cookie.

What makes me laugh is when people think every person on welfare is a lazy fat ***.
Agreed. There are some who genuinely need it.

wow so this is where my rents money goes to.
I will evade my income taxes later on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no wonder that guy in obamas administration evaded 134,000 bucks in taxes he owed. ahaha
Good luck. I suppose you don't understand the authority of the IRS then do you?

And there were 3 separate individuals who had tax problems. Daschle for approx $100,000, Geithner for $34,000 and one other who withdrew soon after nomination for employment taxes just under $1,000. This excludes another nomination who's husband recently paid off $6,400 in liens on their assets.

VERY TRUE

although the majority that dont need welfare but still end up on it hurt those who really do need it. along with making them look like they are lowlife scum.

There are some absurd parts to that story but most of everything described in there is going on everyday. Especially here in the south. Someone gets a section 8 apartment for free (Section 8 apartments include free rent, power, & water) then move their aunt, cousin, bff, and all their kids in it with them. They all receive unemployment ($326 a week), AFDC (Aid for Dependent Children which is $100+) & food stamps (EBT card which can be upwards of $300+ a month) and even though they don't have jobs they also get daycare vouchers for free daycare. Who the hell needs free daycare when they don't even work.

When you go by the section8 apartments here you'll see a huge row of satelite dishes out front. It's ridiculous that they can't afford rent but they can afford Dish Network, DirectTV, or at least have cable. You'll also see lots of new and very nice cars parked there. Yeah, they can't afford to pay for power or water that they need to survive but they can afford to make payments on that gas-guzzling Expedition on 22s. And of course eveyone has a cell phone that plays music, videos, gets online, etc.

A while back I worked for a few years as AM for a finance company. Part of my job was door to door collections for past due accounts. I had to go to places almost daily that looked just like the one pictured. People that had no job or a low paying part-time job yet lived in a very nice apartment filled with new leather furniture, big screen tvs, nice stereos, etc while driving a nice car.

Here's a story about an incident at my kid's daycare. They're the only daycare that opens early (5:30am) and closes late (12am) to accomodate single parents who work 1st and 2nd shift. One mother didn't show up til 1am to pick up her son, and only then after the police were called, because "I was watching a movie and didn't want to stop". Those were her exact words. She doesn't even have a job yet takes her son to daycare and the state pays every bit of it. She was required to pay late fees for not showing up on time and actually had the nerve to complain about it.
