y-splitter rca question

i have a sub amp that runs one set of rca's to the head unit and plugs into the sub out. however, i have two speaker amps that i need to run but only one speaker out on the headunit. now my question is do i run two y splitter (2 male to 1 female) on each amp and then run an rca cable to the one speaker out on my headunit? does it matter if the female colors are both red? one amp powers the left speakers and one amp powers the right speakers.

it shouldnt matter... as long as you run quality splitters. i'm guessing since you only have one set of pre outs on your head unit for components, that it uses one for the rear/sub (can choose between the two).

correct. im gonna use the stinger pro2 y splitters.

you should be good with those... i would use them closer to the amp tho (might just be my ocd, but it will have a lil less area to pick up background noise)
