well, i ordered it off of boostwagon from these forums..... i sent him a money order, hard to tell how long it will be before the subwoofer gets here. when it does, i'm gonna play the **** out of it on a planet audio p850d, then a jl 1000/1. i think the jl 1000/1 will do it in though. then if it blows up, i'm gonna send it back to memphis and get a new woofer.

Its rated at what 800 rms ? memphis underrates their subs so peopel dont blow them up kinda like how SI did for a while it will be nice on that 1000/1

they are rated at 500 rms according to the stats on thier site now..... the hpo series are rated at 250 according to stats.... now. they were at 300. but i know thats wrong. i think it will take the 1000/1 for a good while, but i have that magic tough. i can break anything.

there was a thread on how w7's had this weird sound.

W7's can be loud too..... i dont think they have a wierd sound, and if they do there is probably something wrong....... 1) sub is hooked up wrong 2) box is built wrong 3) they belong to an idiot

hmmm no if i remember my old memphis rep spec sheet it was 250 for Studio's 500 hpo 700 - 800 SHP 1000 LVS

hp, hpo, m3 are all 300 rms, always have been as long as i remember. i do remember the SHP being up around 800 though. not sure about LVS-es

i wouldnt sell it if it was in bad shape. if i beat it up too hard, i'll just send it back and get a subwoofer/subwoofers of equal value.

i'm actually thinking that if it has a good mix of sound quality/loud-ness i might not get rid of it at all. i loved hpo's, and Mojo's for spl. so i'm hoping that this one is just as good, only for lower frequencies..... if that makes any sense.

p.s. this is something i have noticed... sound quality woofers, usually always have alot of spokes (basket), whereas spl woofers go with the standard 4 spoke (if thats what you call them). look at the entire memphis line-up. hpo's, and mojo's, 4 spoked baskets (made for spl) lvs, shp (multiple spoked basket, made for sound quality).

re subs.... the whole lot of them have multiple spoked baskets, they were all desgined for sq. mmats juggernaut 4 spoked.... SPL...... do you see a pattern here too, or is it just me??

memphis will take anything back....... as long as a dealer sends it back.
