If you are gonna call someone a name, at least have the balls to stand up and admit it. Well, you are relying sole-ly on marketing and money devices. The XXX costs more, so it HAS to be louder.
Where did I say it had to be louder, due to price, or otherwise? Maybe you are mistaking for somebody else. Im simply saying that test, or even those two tests, do not point out the advantage the XXX has over the SX (power handling, excursion/displacement/ SQ advantages, etc), they point out the SX has a higher efficiency (no big surprise there) and can keep up with the XXX in power handling up to 1800 watts. Anything else beyond that is simply speculation.
See, the difference is I have real world proof. A few instances i've done myself. (not recorded, so you'll prolly call BS or some childish thing on me), and a SOLID real test done by Dave, an RE employee.
What instances have you done yourself, exactly? Ive yet to see you say you've done any actual testing yourself, only relying on a couple of tests by other people. Dave's test was solid, and real world Im sure, but it does not prove the SX is louder under all circumstances. Again, you like things simple, you read a test, think okay the SX is louder than the XXX, simple, moving on. Unfortunately things are not that simple.
I guess my 'real world' experience with the two drivers (yes Ive been around and heard multiple SX's, and as you've said, I own XXX's) means jack?
