Alls you really need is 1 and you have the ability to hit some nice numbers with not much effort. Knowledge is what gets you SPL and/or nice SQ. Having a better product just makes it easier on you.

They are pretty looking subs that can do some devistation when done right. Thing is, they do require that 1400+w to get them really working, but effeciency plays a role and blah blah blah. www.bladeice.com had a picture of 3 xxxs in a wall that looked SWEET as hell.

If you've got 6000bucks to play around with I would get something better than Hifonics for an amp. Look into Viper Audio 2500d, US Amps 2000, Crossfire Vr2000d, Directed 2400d, Orion 2500d, Zapco... With two XXX 15's and that kind of power with each sub, a big *** ported box (5cuft per sub) you'll probably go deaf very quick, that's gonna be hitting some insane numbers...
